1980  born and raised in Vorarlberg, Austria 

1986 – 1997  student - attending schools in Austria, Germany and Canada 

2003 – 2004  community service in Ecuador 


professional training: 

1998 – 2003  apprenticed in digital media (media technology and media design) main emphasis on video and sound. Regular work as camera operator and assistant camera for television, commercials and corporate films. 

2007 – 2012  university of music and performing arts - film academy vienna | cinematography masterclass of prof. Christian Berger and introductory seminar course in directing with prof. Michael Haneke.


professional career: 

since 2005  independent work as cinematographer with main emphasis on documentaries, short and feature films. Projects at home and abroad (Tunesia, Turkey, Iraq, France, Germany, et al.) 

Experienced with a wide range of camera systems and recording formats: Digital Super 35 (Arri, RED, Canon), Film (35 & 16mm), Broadcast Systems (Sony & Panasonic), DSLR and others 

since 2015  member of the Austrian Association of Cinematographers (AAC).
